This therapy operates within a scientific background using knowledge of how the brain works with the added relaxation benefits of using trance. Trance is very much like day dreaming. How often has your mind wandered whilst on a walk, watching tv, doing the shopping or jogging? Perhaps you have driven from A to B and felt you have done so on automatic pilot? Being in a trance means that you are still aware of everything around you and that you can stop whenever you wish to. Hypnotherapy is not like stage hypnotism.
